What is pgAssistant?
It is a small Chrome extension which embeds an AI Assistant inside pgAdmin Query Tool interface. It helps you write SQL queries faster and easier without leaving pgAdmin context.
How does it really work?

As a browser extension, it interacts with the pgAdmin interface and internals in order to provide AI functionality with context of your database and a more seamless interaction.

When you make a query, it uses OpenAI API to generate the SQL query and embeds the result in the pgAdmin editor.

Is my data safe?
Your database data never leaves your computer. The assistant runs locally in your browser and sends only the schema to the server to generate the response.
Does it cost anything?

You can install and use the current beta version for free. Usage might be limited.

The Pro version will be available after the beta period and you can grab the early bird price now, which will provide you support for 1 year starting from the launch date of Pro version.

Launch of Pro version is estimated roughly during the summer 2023, but it depends on user feedback and adoption of the tool. In the case of the Pro version not being launched at all, you would receive a refund for the whole amount.

Which version of pgAdmin is supported?
It supports pgAdmin 4 v7.1 web.
